Last week, SLO Chamber rolled out a draft of their updated Economic Vision to committees. This iteration got a fancy new name – Imagine San Luis Obispo – and will be joining the 21st century with an expanded web presence and interactive elements. What’s not changing? The focus on SLO’s quality of life, sustainability and helping businesses succeed.
This vision doc has been what drives Chamber’s policy formation and will likely #BeBest as the search for the next Chamber CEO starts up again. Yep, that’s right, the initial CEO search turned up dry and the Chamber will likely appoint an interim leader while the committee goes back at it again in their quest to find its next great leader. Now, we’re sure Chamber leaders all over are clamoring to take over the reigns of one of the most active chambers in the land, but makes ya wonder if sky high housing prices and tough job market for spouses to find an equally-fulfilling career have hindered recruitment prospects like they do for other SLO Co recruiters.
