What can we say? They love bad choices!
Showing unceasing enthusiasm for talking trash and being trash, Supervisors Peschong, Arnold & Compton last week moved a plan ahead to break up the mightily efficient Integrated Waste Management Authority. The move, motivated by their disdain for the recently vindicated polystyrene ban, is predicted to cost everyone in the county more to process trash and recycling ($1.5 mill, by one estimate — and has already cost citizens $32k in consultant fees). Why yes, Virginia, this is the party that claims to be for fiscal responsibility. #nailingit
