Rain dancin’ in the dark
Just 1½ years after Lake Nacimiento was at max capacity, recent headlines now claim SLO County is drier than the Mojave and some SLOcal reservoirs are painfully parched. While Whale Rock and Santa Margarita are still sittin’ pretty at over 70% capacity, Lopez is at 41% and Naci/San Antonio are a scarily low 11% and 12%. Now’s the time to be H20 thrifty people – lower sprinkler schedules, shorten showers, harvest rainfall, let the yellow mellow, track and measure your usage in real time (with this CalPoly startup product)… and do the freakin rain dance.
