Bye polystyrene, hello compost
In the wake of last month’s controversy, the IWMA Board will NOT repeal the previously approved polystyrene ban [make sense?] The Board explained they now recognize the importance of shared governance and environmental protections, and banning styrofoam is just the beginning. The new ordinance will also mandate composting toilets to be installed in all County offices, creating surplus fertilizer [from all that bull$hit] to maintain green space. We applaud their responsible choice to govern effectively and protect our natural resources … and doing the right thing, in lip service and at the other end.
