Newsom sez back to biz, kinda
Monday’s abrupt end to the golden state’s stay-at-home order made small businesses rejoice. Yay, outdoor dining! Yay, no more speakeasy haircuts! But the timing of all this? Seems pretty sus. Sure, projected ICU capacity appears to be improving over the long term, but there’s a new, more contagious strain and new cases numbering in the hundreds every day in SLO Co. Is this the right time to endanger more essential workers? We can’t help but wonder if our fav Sactown-Ken-Doll caved to political pressure.
Welcome back to Purple Tier, oh how we missed you. So yas, go get your hair did, keep supporting local restaurants, but for the love of getting back to some sense of normalcy, do not, under any circumstances, stop wearing the mask or stop social distancing. Let’s turn this purple to red, babies! And while we #shoplocal and #saveourrestaurants, can we get those essential workers moved to the front of the line for the vaccine purrrty please???
