Justice and puppies for awww
Following the summer’s unrest, local law enforcement have tried to heal a broken relationship with the public through PR. First there was a now-infamously awkward promo video filmed in Avila, then they embarked on some serious dad-joke level puns on social media, including memes, a vacationing elf, and reminders from Yoda. Peep the newest program, Puppies for Justice, a collaboration of SLO County PDs and Woods Humane Society. Participants receive a rescued puppy when they complete two hours of unconscious bias training. The goal is to end racist policing and prevent hate crimes. Now that’s what we call aww-inspiring.
