That’s what we want
After SLO City Council’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Task Force wrapped up their 3-month assessment project, their temporary advisory body work was fulfilled. Their list of recos provided Council a road map for advancing DEI within the city, and 8 community orgs received grant funding totalling $110K! DEI was even chosen as a major city goal, and with that in mind, it seems like a longer-term DEI advisory body would bring accountability and transparency, especially in light of some sus allocations within the budget. Let’s not lose momentum with these BIPOC voices advising the city. Send Council your thoughts on all things DEI.
