Who needs a clean downtown?
Dtown SLO is keeping the status quo after a contentious campaign to create a PBID was euthanized before it could go to ballot. Plan was to charge property owners a fee to make Dtown so fresh and so clean, clean. Confusion and controversy brought out the dirrrrrty truth – landlords don’t wanna pay to address issues their tenants deal with [sigh]. So … DTSLO’s doubling down on events + marketing. Speaking of which, 17 of the 22 new dtown businesses that opened this year are local, bay-bee!
