Can I get a high five?
While adult recreational cannabis is now legal in Cali, zoning doesn’t allow the sale or cultivation of cannabis within SLO City limits but that could change if Measure F-18 passes next week. It will pave the way for retail storefronts around town in certain approved zones … but this won’t be your daddy’s hippie weed. Think high tech offerings like edibles, vapes, oils and infused coffee or beer (err not yet, but one can dream). The City would collect a 10% tax generating ~$1.5 mill/yr to be used for City projects, services … or pensions. Vote YES for a balanced budget and happier tomorrow.
