Lawsuit aimed at new housing
Way to kill the buzz. The bubbles had barely settled in our celebratory champagne flutes on the heels of this summer’s approvals of housing projects Avila Ranch and San Luis Ranch when an existing housing development (pot-meet-kettle) banded with local NIMBYs to sue the city of SLO and Avila Ranch, claiming they didn’t adequately address impacts to noise, traffic, pollution, and light. Light, people.
They also seem to want NIMBY goodies like a wall. You heard right, a wall. Are we dreaming, or wasn’t this thing UNANIMOUSLY approved by council after literally a bajillion hours (errr, 3+ years) professionally studying the best city locations for future housing and its impacts. Email SLO City Council and let ‘em know you STILL [sigh] support workforce housing and hope this lawsuit gets kicked in the keister. #howlongmustwesingthissong?
