And hickory dock, SLO folx! Get ready for a busy December. Sing along to all your classic yuletide carols throughout the vast amount of Downtown SLO events (chief among them, the “Very Vintage Holiday” parade on 12/7!) and let them roll off your tongue when asking Santa for your holiday wishes (did someone say fossil-fuel-filled NIMBY stockings??!).
Bring on the festival of lights at the DT Mission steps for the Hanukkah menorah lighting ceremony and join a Hospice Light up a Life Remembrance Ceremony. Attend the dramatic Holiday Extravaganza, choirs, and concerts at Cuesta’s CPAC, the Nutcracker, or sumthin’ else.
Many thanks to SLOCal for creating a one-stop-shop Holiday Guide that ties all local happenings together with a nice, fat bow; but honestly, just do what you do. Because – at the end of the year – closing out 2018 with goodies, friends, and gift-giving is magical in its own right, for it has been one fa-la-la-la-long year. Holiday! Celebrate!
